General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Both hooks are cited inline in the article. I am taking the citation for ALT1 in good faith, since it is not accessible at the moment. The article is fine, but I have one niggle about the hooks.

  • Firstly, I am not happy with ALT1 because a lot of medics work in various countries, so that is not very hooky - although the sentence from the article "Her work on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and women's health took her Botswana, Ethiopia, South Africa, Switzerland, and Zambia" is better, because it shows her doing interesting stuff.
  • Secondly, ALT0 would be OK if it put the subject of the article (a woman) first. But the guy gets to go first, which makes him look more important than the subject of the article, who happens to be a woman. That might have gone unnoticed maybe 20 years ago, but it doesn't work right now. So can we rephrase ALT0 to make Kramer central to the sentence? Maybe something like - when Alisha Kramer was a medical trainee, her then-boyfriend Sen. Jon Ossof lived outside his district to support her? Trillfendi? I would never indicate that a man has more precedence than his significant other, she’s the one delivering babies (more important), it’s just that most sources usually had to come from stories about him and his political ambitions. But hey, we built a 2,000 character article out of it. 😎 Trillfendi (talk) 16:11, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
  • @Trillfendi:. Haha. Thank you for rephrasing ALT0; I can approve that now. Would you like to add the interesting stuff to ALT1 - or would you like me to put this forward for ALT0 only? Storye book (talk) 16:38, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
@Storye book: I guess just go ahead and do alt0. Trillfendi (talk) 20:20, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
  • Sorry, Trillfendi, but we'll have to agree on your new edit of ALTO, so I've backtracked with the green tick. "Campaign to support her" is not what you really meant to say. Also we need to link "campaign" to Political campaign, otherwise it could be any sort of campaign. How about something like "lived outside his district to support her. during his election campaign"? Or "lived outside his election campaign district, in order to support her? Storye book (talk) 21:12, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
  • Please don't re-edit old hooks, but write out the new hook as ALT2, to keep the discussion history clear. Thank you. Storye book (talk) 21:14, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
Let's meet half way. Trillfendi (talk) 21:21, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
  • Thank you, Trillfendi. Good to go with ALT2. Storye book (talk) 21:36, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Hi there! Dropping in, as I was going to promote this; I'm concerned that ALT2 unduly focuses on Ossoff, rather than Kramer. We don't learn much about Kramer from this hook, except that she went to medical school (and that she depended on her boyfriend financially). Is there a hook that centers Kramer a bit more? possibly a variation of ALT3 that details the work she did in those coutnries? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 23:18, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
This is the best I can come up with now. Trillfendi (talk) 07:25, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
@Trillfendi: how's ALT5? Also not fantastic, but still... theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 11:23, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
ALT4 removes Ossoff entirely from the sentence which I thought was the goal here. Trillfendi (talk) 17:01, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
I don't think there's no reason not to mention ossoff, it's pretty interesting that they're connected, but I think ALT3 is also a bit more about Ossoff than it is about Kramer. Anyways, happy to leave whether it's alt4/5 up to the promoter. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 23:30, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
  • I am happy with ALT5, which I agree is better than ALT0 in that it puts her more centrally in the hook, and it deals with a topical point, which is good. Its constituent parts are mentioned in the article, and all of it is sourced from the Independent newspaper, citation 7.Storye book (talk) 12:09, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
  • I am also happy with ALT4, whose citations also check out in the article, and it also puts her centrally in the hook. Storye book (talk) 17:47, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
