  • Article is new enough and long enough. However, the hook fact is not supported by the source. The source lists the death tolls from a number of hooch tragedies, and it is clear that this killed more people than any of the others on the list, but the source doesn't ever say that this one was considered the worst in this century. Also, the article needs some copy-editing, and it should give some indication of what it was about the liquor that killed people (this source suggests that it was made with industrial ethanol that was denatured by the addition of poisonous methanol). This will be a good candidate for DYK after some more work on the article, plus a revised hook. --Orlady (talk) 15:55, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
  • I just did some minor cleanup of the article, mostly fixing grammar and some spelling. Also, would like to propose the following alternative as a bit more interesting:

  • Length/date/QPQ/NPOV/article sourcing is good. Both alt hooks are cited although I agree that ALT2 is more interesting. Should be good to go. Thingg 05:02, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
