Tanveer Evan

Tanveer Evan (born 18 April 1997) is a Bangladeshi born musician and songwriter.[2][3] He composed his first song "Maine Royaan" in 2012, which got hit again in 2022.[4] In 2016, he came into the limelight by singing the song 'Avijog' of the drama 'Best Friend'. In 2021, he again made headlines with the song 'O Mon Re', bringing together Indian duo Yash and Madhumita.[5][6][7][8] He became widely popular with the song 'Oviman' in the drama 'Best Friend 3'[9] and won the Meril-Prothom Alo Awards as the best singer in 2022.[10][11] He was recognized as the 'Top Artist' from Bangladesh on Spotify in 2023.[12] Another hit song sung by him is "Baba Tumi Amar Beche Thakar Karon" which expresses the sacrifice and love of a father towards a child.[13] Tanveer is popular or criticized for Hindi songs apart from his own country songs. Early life and education

Tanveer was born in Khulshi, Chittagong. Growing up there, he completed his secondary and higher secondary education from Cantonment English School and College, and then studied at Chittagong Independent University.[9]

Musical career

Tanveer's musical career took off in 2012 when he recorded his first Hindi song 'Maine Royaan' composed by himself. In 2016, his song 'Avijog' in the solo play 'Best Friend' got a response.[16] The next popular song is 'Ojanay' which is used in the 'Love Vs Crush' drama of Mehazabien and Jovan. The song 'Oviman' used in the drama 'Best Friend 3' in 2020. 'Oviman' is one of the most viewed Bengali song on YouTube.[17] As a child, he used to listen to his father sing and was inspired by artist Atif Aslam.[18]
