User:Tsaag_Valren's edits
editUser:Tsaag_Valren added the following section: "Business with bloodfarms" and wrote "Zoetis has been supplying equine chorionic gonadotropin (ECG) hormones to Syntex, in South America, since 2015[1] : Syntex is accused for animal cruelty[2][3]."
Note that he cites only personal blogs (milkpoint.com.br), and animal rights activist websites, instead of credible, mainstream, media outlets. He has reverted my excision of this material once, so this should be monitored. Obviously if the claims can be corroborated from something other than random blogs and activist sites, they should be included. If they can't, they shouldn't. - Only one source was a blog. The 2 others ones are very reliables :
- Eurogroup for animals : https://www.eurogroupforanimals.org/animal-welfare-foundation-and-tierschutzbund-zurich-ceva-and-idt-biologika-will-stop-sourcing-pmsg-ecg-from-blood-farms-where-mares-are-still-systematically-tortured " While importers such as European pharmaceutical companies like Ceva and IDT Biologika have recently announced they will stop sourcing PMSG from Latin-American blood farms, Hipra from Spain and Zoetis from Italy are still importing the hormones from South America. Both companies sell their products in several EU countries, including Germany" [...] "AWF, TSB Zürich and Eurogroup For Animals call on the companies Hipra and Zoetis to also cease the import of the torture hormone PMSG from South America".
- Tierschutzbund : https://dossier.tierschutzbund-zuerich.ch/de/production-of-pmsg-in-argentina-and-uruguay.html "Zoetis purchases PMSG from the blood farm Syntex SA in Argentina. In 2015, Zoetis signed an asset purchase and manufacturing agreement with Syntex. In South America Zoetis sells Syntex’ own brand Novormon, while the import of PMSG to Europe was stopped in 2016." --Tsaag Valren (talk) 15:38, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- Activist websites are *not* credible sources. If this is so widely recognized, it should be trivial to find a mainstream news source reporting the same claims.Inoculatedcities (talk) 16:46, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Sections
editXyZAn I would like to start a discussion about your revert of my edits to the article. You cited "Restore IPO content" but if you actually look at the article, it was not removed. I wrote the IPO section in the first place when I created the article. However, overtime the sections had become improperly laid out as described in WP:MOS. For example there shouldn't be a new subsection for every year when all that's included is a single sentence. I re-ordered and consolidated the layout while still including the IPO section and removed WP:PRIMARY sources. Press releases from the company should be avoided especially when there are WP:ADVERT problems with the article. Mkdwtalk 17:09, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Product list
editThe product list in the article varies significantly from the company’s list of key products on their home page. They also don’t sell the feed additives anymore; they Spun that off.
I have a COI here so I’m not going to edit, but I sincerely think the article would be more useful to readers if this was cleaned up. CastAStone//(talk) 14:01, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
