Andrew Neil Show -- 6 billion deaths claim edit

I have removed a paragraph referring to Zion's discussion with Andrew Neil of Roger Hallam's claim that 6 billion people might die as a result of climate change. The paragraph made an untrue statement and overall seemed intent on denigrating Ms Lights. I have removed the paragraph rather than simply correcting the misinformation as the subject of Roger Hallam's claims is something other XR spokespeople have been challenged with (e.g. on Newsnight on 10th Oct 2019) and possibly merit a discussion of their own elsewhere. If she used the 6 billion deaths why should it not be on her Wiki page? Rustygecko (talk) 11:18, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Nuclear Power Advocate First edit

Surely she should be primarily described as a nuclear lobbyist -she has renounced most of the XR beliefs.

Nuclear advocate would be the proper term.

Is her name really her name? I doubt it. What was her birth name? Rustygecko (talk) 11:08, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

What was her real birth name as it's very unlikely that it was Zeon Light. Rustygecko (talk) 11:19, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Departure from Green Party edit

I deleted the section stating that she 'admitted to defecting from the Green Party over reasons of pseudoscience' as it was a) poorly cited and b) unclearly written. As Ms Lights was recently mentioned in the Wall Street Journal, this article is probably going to get a bit more attention, and it would be helpful if whoever wrote that piece edited it to be clearer. There are two issues, as stated. Firstly, the citation is a >1 hour long Youtube video which rolls from the beginning, so anyone wanting to understand what went on will have to watch for potentially an hour to find out - the original poster could have at least posted the URL to roll the video from the specific moment they were referencing (see https://www.lifewire.com/youtube-link-to-specific-time-3486675). Secondly, the phrasing is maddeningly vague. Was the 'pseudoscience' which led to Ms Lights leaving the Greens on her part, or the Greens' part? To whom did she 'defect'? Why is this an 'admission' - had she committed some type of infraction? I suspect her views on nuclear lie behind both the exit and the entry I deleted, and as an interested member of the public I'd love to know more, clearly stated and accurately evidenced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.210.182 (talk) 20:23, 2 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
