Cultural reckoning of the age

edit

Though I only know bits and pieces of Chinese culture, but it is my understanding that at birth the child's age is counted as one instead of zero as in the Western culture (see East Asian age reckoning). Obviously a baby newly born is very unlikely to be able to grasp any object. So I believe the intention of the article is to say that a child would be about 12 months or so by Western counting in order to do a zhuazhou. I shall leave the editing of that article to someone who knows far more than I ever do, Thanks! --TheBlueWizard (talk) 04:37, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
