Talk:Yakovlev Yak-40

Latest comment: 12 years ago by 84.159.185.76 in topic Olympic Airways

Doesn't someone has a more detailed picture on how to enter this aircraft via its build-in gangway on the rear? This gangway is really very special and should be documented here.

I used this rather narrow aircraft many times between Hamburg/DE and Kaunas/LT and was always surprised of its very soft flying and landing (!) - not comparable to what I often have to experience in all these Boeing and Airbus models. How to document this here?

Would anyone object if the Infobox photo was changed to a photo of the aircraft in flight? Either the existing one in the article of the Czech aircraft or the following one from Commons of a Polish Yak 40 appear suitable.Nigel Ish (talk) 18:00, 17 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Olympic Airways

As far as I know, Olympic never used any Yakovlev Aircraft! They were thinking about buying Yak 40 and have tested this aircraft type, but it never entered service with Olympic! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.159.185.76 (talk) 07:57, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
