Current 3 sections

edit

Yadsalohcin, thank you for your efforts and for starting this page. I find the organization of the article into the current 3 sections " Sources", "Summary" and "Data and analysis" unfortunate- a bit arbitrary, not reflecting their content, and hence making for a difficult read as to understanding the matter. I actually struggled with the same issue, when writing the China Cables.

I suggest to use a "description" of the contents - since the genesis, the leak of an anonymous source and analysis by the 14 news sources is briefly told. I also detailed the publication in a section "Publication and press reports" which is missing here.

Finally, there definitely needs to be a section of the political reactions or impact, which is likely going to be added to over time. --Wuerzele (talk) 10:44, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wuerzele, and thanks for this- specially thanks for finding info to include in the section "Political reactions", which I was acutely aware was missing.
As for the rest of the structure, I am relatively happy with the logic of its sequence, telling where it came from (Sources), what it contained (Summary) and what can be deduced from the data (Data and analysis). But I wouldn't be particularly insistent on any particular structure, as long as there's some clear logic and as long as no important data gets lost from the article. This is after all a public collaborative encyclopaedia and although I'll look in on the page from time to time I don't consider myself a curator or owner, so if someone has a much better layout I'd be happy for it all to change. alternatively, perhaps the current titles need some slight expansion to help clarify...
