30-day phone home edit

The FAQ for the service says: "Download and experience games in their full fidelity from top industry publishers and play offline for up to 30 days." Am I perhaps over-interpreting the statement as a phone-home? --McDoobAU93 20:01, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not necessarily, but where is the FAQ? The ref goes to the announcement. Fixed, cheers. –xenotalk 20:17, 28 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Games list edit

Now that the debut catalog has appeared, a well-meaning editor started adding it to the article. Due to the nature of the catalog, I think this goes beyond the scope of the article, specifically as related to WP:IINFO. There isn't a comprehensive list of content on Netflix, because it's always changing. This, in my view, would be no different. --McDoobAU93 16:06, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

I don't see how this is any different to the EA Access list etc, but I've created a new page to link to on here if that would be more appropriate Brooza (talk) 16:26, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Answer: EA Access has stated that games, when added to the Vault, remain there. Xbox Game Pass will have a rotating catalog of games; games will be removed and re-added from time to time, just as movies are removed and re-added to Netflix. --McDoobAU93 16:30, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have asked for input from the WikiProject Video Games members, so hopefully we can get a good consensus on this. --McDoobAU93 12:28, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

The list of games available fails WP:NOT#CATALOG (I'd argue the same for EA Access' list.). We don't have a list of all movies that have been on Netflix, for example, for this reason. --MASEM (t) 13:18, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'd be okay with losing it at EA Access based on that, if you want to raise it on that page, too. --McDoobAU93 13:25, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
If lists of games are not allowed on Wikipedia, why are there so many lists (Nintendo, Playstation, Xbox etc)? There is a section in the footer of the article called "Lists of games" Brooza (talk) 16:34, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
If you mean List of Xbox 360 games, for example, that's most likely because a game doesn't get unreleased. The closest analogue to this situation is indeed Netflix, and there's no list of what's on Netflix at any given moment, although there may well be a list of original programming that Netflix has produced. Why? Again, it doesn't get unreleased. --McDoobAU93 17:03, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
