editSuggestive but not definitive reference for an earlier date for Fortner's first string trio (for 1951 rather than 1953, which is the publication date and also the date given in de:Streichtrio): [1]
I believe the library where I am may have a score- if the date is at the end of the same (Finis: day month year place, or somesuch), no problem at all of course, that's next to conclusive, barring publisher's error *g*.
I suspect a worklist is in print much more fully documented or will be, as often happens (he is not well-known but not wholly "obscure" either, and has had several of his works, not just The Creation, recorded by Fischer-Dieskau and other recognized performers...)
