Talk:Wladimir Klitschko vs. David Haye

"Pissed" edit

There is no need to use swear words in this context, this article does require some ammount of clean up 92.18.212.137 (talk) 16:52, 30 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup is needed. Most of the build up section needs to be removed or rewritten. Christopher Connor (talk) 18:40, 30 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Christopher Connor then rewrite it you own. Im big time tired of people not having an acount and deleting and editing other peoples work. I mean, get out of here. You can edit the grammer, but dont delete any of my work. This it to (92.18.212.137) and 95.117.107.91. Create an account. Then you can edit as much as you want to,. — Preceding unsigned comment added by David-golota (talkcontribs) 19:37, 30 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't see why editing this article on an account makes any difference. I do have an account, but it's easier to stay logged off. I'm sorry to say that your "work" isn't up to Wikipedia's writing standards and requires a clean up. I will keep necessary infomation and references but the grammar is still poor and needs to be rewritten and rephrased. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.19.39.197 (talk) 19:17, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Well excues me for wanting to get the article big and expanded and sorry that english it not my first language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by David-golota (talkcontribs) 21:48, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
The article is perfectly big and looks very good. I understand now that English isn't your first language and you've done a good effort. I'll help with the grammar. 92.19.38.50 (talk) 11:02, 2 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Inappropriate material in the "Build up" section edit

A lot of the text is written in very poor English. There seems to be a lot of odd information in this section that isn't appropriate for an encyclopedia. A couple of examples are:

"Haye also said that the trash talk was over and that it was down to business, which was also one of the reasons why he didn’t bring his infamous t-shirt, with him holding the decapitated heads of the Klitschko brothers."

"A pre-fight news conference was held on June 27 in Hamburg. No new things were said. David Haye got up and said that Wladimir was like a robot, that would mal-function on Saturday (fight night). He said he was happy the fight was happening now, because he is just a much better fighter now. He also said that he would show a totally new gameplan and he would not fight like he has done in his other fights." 92.18.148.162 (talk) 00:17, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well then help me. Help rewrite the grammer. English is not my first language. — Preceding unsigned comment added by David-golota (talkcontribs) 00:19, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not seeing how this meets WP:EVENT#Inclusion criteria edit

How does this meet the inclusion criteria of WP:EVENT ? there does not appear to be any "enduring historical significance" or any "significant lasting effect". Mtking (edits) 23:17, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes it was a big fight. It was very hyped and was the biggiest heavyweight fight since Lennox Lewis vs. Mike Tyson. There are so many fight articles that are not near this fight. Ex. Saúl Álvarez vs. Ryan Rhodes.

Again you missed the issue, how was the fight of historical significance or how does it have significant lasting effect ? Mtking (edits) 22:22, 21 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Big fight in the heavyweight division. Put back the heavyweight division in boxing. The media all over the world opned their eyes to heavyweight boxing again.

But dont look at this article. I already told you why this was a significant historical figt. Look at David Haye's hype. Had a t-shirt with the Klitschko brother's head cut of, nothing ever seen like that.

But look at these articles and ask if any og these fights where significant historical:

Devon Alexander vs. Lucas Matthysse

Saul Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron

Saul Alvarez vs. Alfonso Gomez

Saúl Álvarez vs. Matthew Hatton

Saúl Álvarez vs. Ryan Rhodes

Lucian Bute vs. Glen Johnson

Lucian Bute vs. Jean-Paul Mendy

Julio César Chávez, Jr. vs. Peter Manfredo, Jr.

Nonito Donaire vs. Omar Narvaez

Nonito Donaire vs. Wladimir Sidorenko

Sergio Martinez vs. Sergiy Dzinziruk

Sergio Martinez vs. Darren Barker

Julio César Chávez, Jr. vs. Sebastian Zbik

Jan Zaveck vs. Andre Berto

Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Daniel Ponce de León

Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Jorge Solis

I mean come on. Look how short the article are and none of those fight have had or will have any significant effect on boxing.

WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is no reason to keep this, I am not disputing that it received coverage at the time, but that was routine coverage that any sports match would get, were is the coverage that shows this match has any lasting significance ? Mtking (edits) 02:54, 22 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is common sense which effect this fight had.? Everybody that has just a little interest in boxing knows that. Why dont you deal with the other fight articles first??? Everybody knows how huge og significant this fight was going to be and was.
