According to newspaper articles transcribed here, Reed was an New York insurance man. Search on "Reed Hollow Earth Exploring Club". I see no evidence that the dates 1830 to 1920 are correct, at this point. Charles Matthews (talk) 08:08, 15 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
