editRegarding notability: Wikipedia has bios for nearly every single active pornstar, and then it questions the notability of William Missouri Downs. Come on! The article needs to be rewritten, but it ought not to be deleted.

improvements in process
editI've continued the cleanup that Hrafn started, removing much of the unencyclopedic minor material. A good deal of work needs to be done, especially removing duplication. However, the official bio is a good ref accepted in WP:RS for routine facts about him; the key notability is the books and the plays, and they are documented. Reviews , of course, also need to be looked for & added. DGG ( talk ) 05:38, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- His resume, self-published on his university webpage, is hardly an "official bio", and is only a WP:SPS. It does not add to WP:Notability, and cannot (per WP:SELFPUB) act as the main source for an article. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 07:19, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
