Citation need raised against alleged life years
editI have raised a citation need against the stated life years of Sir William Leighton as no reference work known to me (DNB and History of Parliament - he was MP for Much Wenlock in 1601) gives any, and his History of Parliament sketch concludes "the year of his death is not known".Cloptonson (talk) 15:11, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- I have now found a citation for the life years, and other information, in Leighton's article by Daniel Hahn in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography. Hahn's article was clearly much later (2004) and better researched than "J.J.C", though the latter's History of Parliament article does not appear in the sources listed at the foot of the ODNB article.Cloptonson (talk) 19:09, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
