I was wondering that too. I did find a "scrap of paper" on the web (link here) saying that he was about to marry. The paper is dated 4 January 1947, in the "Amusements" section (that alone is amusing) from the NYT. MagnoliaSouth ^(talk) 18:54, 7 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
