The information about his background at https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=C8fTAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA506 may not check out. At least, the High Sheriff of Denbighshire for 1756 given there, John Griffith, does not tally with our list. Charles Matthews (talk) 09:03, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
