Fast and loose with facts and figures
editThe modern film industry doesn't let the real facts and figure get in the way of a good epic, therefore, please be extra wary.
Barker's entry in The Macmillan International Film Encyclopaedia. Fourth Ed. Barker, Will. appears to have confused him with a member of the British Peerage. As far as I can find out he had no royal title.
There appears to be many discrepancies involving dates, even on the Ealing Studio website and the like. For instance, they put the date for the founding of ealing studio as 1902. --Aspro (talk) 13:39, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Aspro. The Ealing Studios page here on Wikipedia claims that Will Barker Studios occupied the site from 1896 to 1929. The Ealing Studios commercial website's claims are outside the jurisdiction of Wikipedia but here on this page and on that of the studios it would be nice to have some accurate dates that agree with each other. He was my great-grandfather. He definitely was not a member of the peerage!! I'm trying to upload a photo of him but can't work out how to do it, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
- Hi Karen, I have added some advice for uploading images on your talk page, which is on this link here : User talk:Karen barker. If you click on the tenth button along the top left when you right something it will automatically sign your comment when you save the page. The button will insert wiki code which will look abit like this --~~~~ --Aspro (talk) 15:28, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
