What does this mean? edit

"One tradition maintains that Odin did not travel further up than an ox wears his yoke, so if Odin was hunting, it was safest to throw oneself onto the ground in order to avoid being hit" - this makes no sense. Poihths (talk) 22:58, 19 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I understand it as "Odin rides at low height, duck!" is that it? --ReyHahn (talk) 13:42, 20 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Yoke is about 1.5-2.0m above the ground 85.148.213.144 (talk) 08:22, 23 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

What were they hunting edit

The article should make a mention of what is being hunted 85.148.213.144 (talk) 08:23, 23 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Depends on the tale. Mythical creatures, people, peasants... This was a mythical danger to be avoided in case _you_ become the target - Skysmith (talk) 13:12, 23 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
