==To do to improve==

The article comes off a bit awkward. It is a needed article, though most likely it will be short due to several social reasoning to safe-guard the various scrolls that are out there. So, what to do to improve?:

  1. streamline the article by re-arranging some of the contents and make it less awkward
  2. separate the physical characteristics and the basic care from the ceremonial use of the scrolls
  3. there should be a mention on scroll-handling ettiquette
  4. there should be a short discussion on the cultural problems associated with non-tradition personnel (both Native and non-Native) handling and analyzing the scrolls, and what the Midewiwin members are doing to correct these cultural faux pas

Otherwise, there should be a certain level of respect built into this article much like that for the Sefer Torah article. [Hmm. Some baffoon has posted a picture at the Sefer Torah article that shows an improper handling of the scroll. Yikes.]

Lack of documentation edit

This article is about a fascinating topic. But it cites almost no sources about the history of the writings. It desperately needs some sources cited to substantiate the claims and traditions. Pete unseth (talk) 17:00, 21 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I agree. Wikipedia doesn't have much information on Native American forms of symbolism. Perhaps these sources can help? (they're just some of the page of hits on Google)
