@Jweiss11:: I have seen that you have been involved on this page and on others that I have been editing. I have a few concerns about this page and wanted to talk to someone else before making large changes. From my research, Iowa was not a member of the league in 1897.[1] But they were invited to re-join for 1898.[2] I have not confirmed that they did re-join. This also raises the issue that the conference does not disband in 1897 like this page posits. I also found later mention of schedule for 1899.[3] Based on their games played, I do not think that Iowa re-entered the league.[4] Iowa joins the "Big Nine" for the 1900 football season. Then a Feb 1900 article mentioning that Nebraska is leaving.[5] But in Nov 1901, Nebraska is mentioned as winning the championship by beating Kansas.[6] In Nov 1902, Nebraska requests entrance into the "Big Nine".[7] Leading up to the Thanksgiving matchup between Kansas and Missouri in 1902, the newspaper talks about the 10 year existance of the Western Intercollegiate.[8] I cannot find any reference after 1902.
