Brad Maddox (as a referee) debuted in WWE 2K15, Diego and Fernando (as Primo and Epico, respectively) debuted in WWE '13, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson debuted in WWF WrestleMania 2000 (1999), Haku debuted in WWF Raw (2002), Kama Mustafa (as Papa Shango) debuted in WWF Super WrestleMania (1992), Stardust (as Cody Rhodes) debuted in WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2009 (2008), and Typhoon debuted in WWF WrestleFest (1991)
Alundra Blayze (as Madusa) and Stevie Ray debuted in WCW Nitro (1999), Brian Pillman debuted in WCW SuperBrawl Wrestling (1994), Hideo Itami (as KENTA) appeared in Wrestle Kingdom (2005), Mickey Whipwreck debuted in ECW Anarchy Rulz (2000), Rosa Mendes (as herself) debuted in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005), Samoa Joe debuted in TNA Impact! (2008), and Tatsumi Fujinama appeared in WCW vs. The World (1997), but have never appeared in a WWE video game.
Gameplay changes edit
As anyone who has played the games can tell you, the various new things apply ONLY to the "next gen" (XboxOne/PS4) versions. The reversals, grapples, entrances, etc. in the Xbox 360/PS3 are exactly the same as in 2k14 & 2k15. Some small changes exist, but not in these advertised areas. Hogan edit
"Although included in the original roster announcement, Hulk Hogan was later removed from the game. This was as a result of the release of controversial racial statements he had made previously."
