Signal protection of clear-channel stations edit

Whether one station protects the signal of another is not determined by how long a station has been broadcasting; it is determined by station class. A Class B station protects the nighttime skywave signal of a Class A station, not the other way as is stated in the first paragraph of this page.

Every thing which I have been able to find indicates the reverse situation regarding WMEX and WLAC; WLAC began broadcasting first on 1510 kHz. WMEX is in fact a Class B station and I have included FCC references showing this to be true. There is one FCC page (AM Broadcast Station Classes; Clear, Regional and Local Channels) which shows incorrectly the status of KGA; it also is a Class B station, and my sentence indicating that WLAC is the ONLY Class A station on 1510 kHz is correct.Rudy2alan 16:46, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

15, WLAC, with "the Bear!" edit

No one has written in this Wikipedia article about "the Bear" who used to work in the night time hours on 15 WLAC. He was really popular with me and I really appreciated what he did. Unfortunately I do not remember his real name. If someone knows it, wouldn't they please come forward with it and share his name with us. Thank you.
