WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS is no reason to have more, there is no need for this to have it's own article it can be a redirect into a section of the uni sports page until such time as the is enough well sourced material to justify a spit. Mtking (edits) 22:48, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I completely disagree. I think there's more than enough info right now to justify it's own article. Ejgreen77 (talk) 22:57, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Write it at the Buffalo Bulls page first then propose it is split off, cos what was here is not sourced to anything like WP:RS interdependent of the subject showing significant coverage. Mtking (edits) 23:04, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I don't think it is in dispute that the mascot exists, but do you think that source "address the subject directly in detail" it is more of a local interest news story than an article on the mascot. Mtking (edits) 23:49, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
The article is all about the mascot, and his competition in a huge national collegiate mascot contest. It definitely does "address the subject directly in detail." In fact, I'm not sure how much more direct you can get! There's also this article about the contest, too. Ejgreen77 (talk) 00:00, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
It is a local news story about the local uni's mascot's attendance at an event, it does not address the mascot, it's history, its significance etc in detail, without any of that a well sourced article can't be written (which is the reason behind WP:GNG). As I said write something at the Buffalo Bulls page first then propose a split. Mtking (edits) 00:11, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
What does all that even mean? Do I propose it there or here? Ejgreen77 (talk) 00:42, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Add the text to the Buffalo Bulls under the Victor E. Bull section, when it gets too long add the {{split}} template to the start of that section. Mtking (edits) 00:54, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
There is one reference that helps to establish (national) notability for this article. At least two are needed to establish minimal national notability (vs. regional interest), per Wiki guidelines. I will try to locate and include more references to establish notability. Photos would also be nice. I have at least one somewhere, and will try to locate and include it. Today, I searched through 400 national and international database articles, and I added all those that I located to this article as references. The article truly needs at least one more nationally-based reference, outside of the Buffalo/New York State area, to be considered minimally nationally notable. If found, please add.
