Verijärve Landscape Conservation AreaVerijärv Landscape Conservation Area – Presumably named after the lake of Verijärv, not the village of Verijärve. 2001:7D0:81F7:B580:3D25:278D:78A1:BAB (talk) 09:08, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Well, no source is cited for "Verijärve" in English-language protected area name either. Above I'm just saying why Estonian nominative "Verijärv" would make more sense than genitive "Verijärve" here. 2001:7D0:81F7:B580:91B4:86EC:1D2C:5F38 (talk) 15:46, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
Right, but the name in Estonian (as far as I can tell from the sources below) is Verijärve. It's not up to us to translate; either there is an established English-language name, or we use the local name. See WP:PLACENAME. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 18:28, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
The original Estonian is "Verijärve maastikukaitseala", Conservation Area of Verijärv. We do quite often translate extremely basic derived terms to English such as "X National Park" and "Municipality of Y" (like with the other pages in Category:Nature reserves in Estonia), but placing the term in the nominative is always necessary. The question here is whether this area is named after the lake or the village. – Thjarkur (talk) 18:53, 30 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
