Copyright / close paraphrasing issues edit

There are a couple of close paraphrasing / copyright violations:

  • "She grew up in Woodside, a rural Jamaican village, where her mother was a school teacher and her father was a farmer"
  • "Creole languages of the Anglophone Caribbean, the language of Caribbean literature and Caribbean women’s writing."
  • "She has published five collection of poetry, and has edited several anthropologies of writing for schools."
  • "Velma Pollard is currently a [retired] lecturer at the University of West Indies, Jamaica."

I know this is tricky because they are statements of specific facts and there's only so many ways to reword them, but changing the order of the words, and, when you can, using synonyms for words helps. See close paraphrasing for information about how to rewrite content in your own words so that it is not a copyright violation.

One example for the fourth bullet is, "Since her retirement, Pollard has a continued presence at the University of West Indies as a speaker."--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:26, 17 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I edited three of the bullets, but commented out the content in the second bullet. That needs to be reworded before it's returned.--CaroleHenson (talk) 03:03, 19 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I added some wikipedia links to places and universities mentioned in the article. Kunselman304 (talk) 16:19, 20 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
