Setting section
editI have been thinking about this for a while, and it's something we need to do something about: parts of the setting section use references that are really about Bloodlines 1, and kind of assume those things still apply. However, Bloodlines 1 is set in the early 00s, whereas Bloodlines 2 moves forward in the timeline to present day, and is based on the fifth edition of the tabletop game (V5), in which the series' metaplot has progressed. For example, while the Brujah clan used to be part of the Camarilla, it has since largely left for the Anarch movement, so writing The vampires are divided into seven clans of the Camarilla, the vampire government
is no longer correct - the Camarilla consists of six vampire clans as of V5. (I have another problems with that sentence - there are thirteen clans in total, whereas that sentence makes it sound like only the Camarilla clans exist.)
I'm not saying we should base the section on what is true in the tabletop game, because we don't know for sure that those things are also true in Bloodlines 2 until they are confirmed to be so, but we should not expect Bloodlines 1 information to still be true and unchanged.--Alexandra IDVtalk 16:34, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- For the moment its like that just to be consistent with the other games in the series. Given its a sequel to Bloodlines, the information I feel is OK, and we can update it if contradictory information comes out, but in the short term we don't know what it is incorporating from the V5 game. Release
editIn the Release section it says "In November 2020, Paradox CEO Ebba Ljungerud speculated that Bloodlines 2 would be released in early 2021.", but the cited source (or rather its translated title) says "Paradox does not think Bloodlines 2 will release in the first half of 2021", there might be some need for clarification here, especially since the source isn't available in english.93.235.41.44 (talk) 17:35, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- You're right, there is a missing "not" there. I have fixed it.--AlexandraIDV 18:13, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
Are Ellison and Mitsoda still relevant as the writers?
editThey left the project, if they will be credited in the game itself - then fine let's add them, but for now I'm pretty sure that some else is writing mostly new story bits BrandtM113 (talk) 18:14, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
