Fair use rationale for Image:Uniduisburg.gif

edit

Image:Uniduisburg.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:40, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

please rename!

There is no city named "Duisburg-Essen", but two cities named Duisburg and Essen (with the city of Mülheim an der Ruhr lying even in between those cities), so the name of this article has to be University Duisburg-Essen (otherwise it has to be University of Duisburg and Essen)! 88.77.187.29 (talk) 15:15, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removal of template message?

edit

Dear fellow Wikipedians,

I'm quite new to Wiki and therefore don't simply dare to remove the template message which is displayed at the beginning of the page of the University Duisburg-Essen.

If I have understood the terms of removal of messages like this correctly, they are to be removed if the requested changes have been made, a user deems the changes to have been made, ...

I'm currently trying to improve the page and think, that many improvements have been made. Therefore I would be happy to know, if this is still an "active" discussion or if I can remove the template?!

Many thanks, enjoy your "mini-holidays", Jörg — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ruhri Jörg (talkcontribs) 15:06, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Dear all,

Since there seems to be no apparent problem with the removal of the template, I will go ahead and remove it now. If you find any specific sources that require additional citations, please let me know / improve them / ...

Removal spinoff template / NRW School of Governance

edit

Dear all,

Today I removed the content about the NRW School of Governance from the universities main page to its own page, after having seen the spinoff-template. I hope both that the content about the NRW School of Governance was meant with the template and also, that I transferred everything correctly.

If you find any mistakes I made, please let me know. All the best,

Jörg --Ruhri Jörg (talk) 12:44, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

P.S.: I have now also removed the template. --Ruhri Jörg (talk) 12:44, 21 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
