Work in progress edit

Working an actual article on Unity that will display each field in accordance with the term. I will redirect this page as the proper disambiguation page. Empireheart (talk) 18:03, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Original research edit

This article is a coatrack of mutually irrelated case studies. I agree with Empireheart that each section must be in a separate article, and the page itself should be a disambig, with the dicdef in the wiktionary. Twri (talk) 19:07, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Questions edit

"It is discussed in detail below."

What? No such discussione exists. Was that paragraph just copied from somewhere?

Why does the article only talk about religion? Is there no extra-religional unity? --80.223.7.102 (talk) 12:40, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

We should be one according in unity Jimoh adekunle gold (talk) 05:24, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal edit

Agree with Empireheart, and Twri. This is not encyclopaedic as per WP:DICT : I propose make this into disambiguation page (move from disambiguation page) with content merged into 1. intro -> covered by wiktionary definition, 2. Spiritual unity -> e.g. Monotheism, Ahmadiyya, God in the Bahá'í Faith 3. Sense of community -> Social solidarity, Social cohesion . Please discuss: Widefox (talk) 08:34, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

agree per Widefox. Unity is a vast subject--Peaceworld 09:08, 14 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
I agree with the proposal to make "Unity" into a disambiguation page, and have the content we see here be covered, as it probably already is, elsewhere and to a much higher quality. As it stands, this is a dreadful article. Robertbyrne (talk) 03:09, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I removed the "unity of nature section" edit

Save for an unexplained reference to "Marshall 2002", this section was unreferenced and made a number of vague sweeping statements. It was also accidentally doubled up. I've removed it completely since the quality was so low. Robertbyrne (talk) 03:14, 3 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Taking action edit

After over a year of agreement, I'm going to just go ahead and scrap this page, moving the content to talk pages. "Spiritual unity" will go to Monotheism, since that's where the current key phrase oneness of God redirects. "Sense of community" will go to, surprise surprise, sense of community (which currently has a rather similar-looking first paragraph...). This page will become a redirect to Unity (disambiguation) and I will propose moving that to this title. -- Perey (talk) 14:41, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Oh, and I completely removed this. Preserved here, on the off chance that it's useful for a real article... -- Perey (talk) 14:51, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

There's a group in Ottawa called: Unity. The singers are Adam Saint-Fleur, Gottfried Blaise St-Vil, Nick Manigat, Gaddi August Jean-Julien, Djemcy Latortue, Sébastien Christian Duffaut and Judson Clarke. Created by: Catheline Saint-Fleur. They sing gospel song, for the glory of God. They are real popular, in the churches in Ottawa.
It appears there was a copy and paste of content from Unity to Unity (disambiguation) by Empireheart back on 12 June 2009. Before that, Unity was the disambiguation page. I've just split the edit history and content of the concept to Talk:Unity/concept. That can be moved to a new title in article space if desired or deleted. I've also merged the edit history of the two disambiguation pages which is currently at Unity (disambiguation) pending the outcome of a requested move. olderwiser 16:09, 7 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
