This was probably copied from the official site: 'FORSCOM is the heart of America's Power Projection Army. FORSCOM Soldiers are trained and ready to deploy around the globe to respond rapidly, anywhere they are called, transforming the Army, serving the nation, bound together by a common set of values, and committed to the preservation of freedom and democracy. The unique talents of the people of FORSCOM are woven together to remain relevant and ready, supporting the Army at war.'

Do we want it in the article? Sounds like it could be toned down and made a bit less rah rah to me. Buckshot06 10:37, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree the following quotation strikes me as a bit melodramatic: 'FORSCOM tailors the resources and training of its units to meet the specific and constantly changing requirements of combatant commanders and, when directed, of U.S. civil authorities. Those requirements range from preparing Soldiers to fight on the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq, to providing relief to disaster victims. FORSCOM remains at the point of the effort to transform the Army into a more deployable and maneuverable lethal force.'. Sounds like how Generals talk when they're being interviewed by the press or something 123.243.215.92 (talk) 12:35, 14 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

In-Universe Language edit

It would be excellent if someone would translate this Military jargon into plain English. I get the gist: USAFC channels troops and resources to overseas battlegrounds. But an honest, objective look at the process whereby this takes place (and how the function of this organization has evolved since the Cold War) would be be very valuable. V Corps higher headquarters is US Army Europe and Africa edit

Although the V Corps main headquarters is located in Kentucky, it is under the operational control of USAREUR-AF (https://www.europeafrica.army/units/). V Corps should be removed from the list of FORSCOM subordinate units. V Corps has no interaction with and does not report to FORSCOM. 162.13.154.82 (talk) 17:21, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
