Notability
editUFO:AI was recently featured in Games for Windows: The Official Magazine (formerly Computer Gaming World), in the "Freeloader" section. I no longer have the magazine to quote details (issue, page, etc). It seems that a nod in one of the oldest and most well-known computer gaming publications gives this game notability. Can someone who has the magazine incorporate the details into this article? —Erik Harris 19:04, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- While it is certainly worth mentioning in the article, a "nod" in one magazine does not signify WP:Notability. Notability is significant coverage, one small article or mention does not signify or even imply this. JohnnyMrNinja 16:41, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Development Version
editIn addition to Stable Version Development Version should be added to the box. --Masterius (talk) 13:24, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- well, the problem is, there is no development version released (with some number) - i don't think adding "there's svn" would be acceptable :) --Richlv (talk) 06:43, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Discussion
editHello. New Wikipedia user here. I made a 5,000-word unbiased review and one of the devs (Mattn) put it up on UFO: AI's main page several months back. Modesty aside, I believe that review still stands as the most unbiased, in-depth, and informative review of UFO: AI to date. I was wondering if I could put up a link to my review on the game's Wikipedia page? The fact that Mattn put it up on the news section several months back means it's a no-nonsense review.
Here's the actual post: "One of our faithful users has written a review of almost 5000 words about the 2.3.1 version. Thanks a lot Ildamos. It's a nice addition to the "Let's Play UFO: Alien Invasion" that H-Hour posted yesterday and is worth a read. 2012-06-09 — mattn"

Version 1.0
editWhen was version 1.0 released? This should be mentioned in the infobox. SharkD Talk 02:45, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
I agree, but the Sourceforge repository doesn't say. It only tells the release dates of versions 2.x. The earliest, 2.2, was released in January of 2008. 77.164.107.1 (talk) 15:57, 18 January 2016 (UTC)
- I don't think there ever was a 1.0 release. The earliest release i can find is version 0.10 as packaged in the PLF repo for Mandrake 10.0 back in 2004.
- According to the version list at Indiedb the earliest version they have tracked is ufoai_0.12beta which was released on May 30th, 2006, and on Aug 29 2006 version 2.0 rc4 was released. Solbu (talk) 21:33, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
