Edit conflict. May as well post my comments. --Usernameunique (talk) 04:57, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Alright, I think you have it from here. Nova Crystallis (Talk) 04:59, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Works for me, Nova Crystallis. Sorry for the confusion. (Edit: Just got a laugh out of your edit summary). --Usernameunique (talk) 05:39, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Lead

  • known in the Philippines as Typhoon Etang — This only appears in the lead.
    • I don't really see how it fits anywhere else in this instance. This isn't atypical for these sort of articles either. YE Pacific Hurricane 05:19, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
      • Perhaps "During its formative stages, the depression left two people reported as missing and injured three people across the Philippines," where it was known as Typhoon Etang." Also, any information on how it acquired that name? If so, you could add that part to "Meteorological history". --Usernameunique (talk) 05:42, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
        • That just seems kinda random to me. It's not something I normally have done in the past. When there's more info about the name (which from 1963 to 1968 there is) and when it acquired such name, I usually squeeze a sentence in the MH but that's not applicable here, hence the sole omission. • There's some inconsistency here (and elsewhere in the article) over whether you spell out numbers (e.g., 5 vs. five). Generally I spell out 1–12 and use numbers for the rest; but however you do it, it should be consistent.
    • I spell it out if it's less than 10 unless there's a couple other circumstances in play. If "X did Y and did Z" is a sentence, and X and Y are greater than 10, and Z is less than 10, I stick to numbers. If "X did Y", and X is less than 10 but Y isn't, I write out both. • Offshore Fangcheng, — Links to disambiguation page.
  • Does Hong Kong deserve mention in the lead?

References'

  • 11–16 should really include links if at all possible, even if the links take one to a login screen; after all, Lexis is among the databases that people are more likely to have access to. Also, are 11–16 citing newspapers that wire stories appeared in, or the actual wire stories (as originally sent to the newspapers)? I've never seen the latter before, but suppose it's possible. --Usernameunique (talk) 06:33, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • The latter, hence only the use of the |agency= field. As for the urls, you'd get a log in screen if I linked them, but if you logged in, it won't take you to the article directly (I tested this out myself just to be sure I'm correct here). So urls are basically useless. YE Pacific Hurricane 06:40, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
