Is there is trump card when we say thani (adi) ?

Can you please explain? ??

Yes, there is a trump suit. The difference is that when you call thani you automatically go first and you can play the trump suit imedialtly if you annouce that it is the trump suit before the next person puts in his card. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Geestin (talkcontribs) 18:19, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rule

edit

After everyone has seen their eight cards, the final bidder or the bidder's partner may increase the bid if they wish, but if they do so the new bid must be at least 24.

Can only the bidder or the bidder's partner increase the bid? Can't anyone bid for 24+ after all eight cards have been dealt? --Jairodz (talk) 11:39, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Many Inaccuracies

edit

This article gives an external reference to a page on Pagat.com. While that is fine, this article has many discrepancies against the given source. Jarmihi (talk) 04:21, 29 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

English

edit

There is a major problem with way the article is written. For Example, "Notes that if a situation is reached during the first phase in which the bidder has no trumps in hand " under the second phase is not a proper sentence. 123.63.207.221 (talk) 10:16, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Other variation

edit

There is another popular variation of this game played in south India. It is called something that translates to game of doubles.

Details: Jack and nine are only high in the trump suit. Scoring for the match is based on the trump suit that was declared, which may have been doubled, redoubled, or re-redoubled, with individual hands having a target for defenders. There is a separate game mode where players can cancel trick play and attempt to get a grand slam with a trump suit of their choice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.104.3.155 (talk) 16:56, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
