editNo, it is not cut and paste and yes some of this information is on our website -- www.tgms.org -- My name is Patricia McClain, the Administrative Manager for the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, Inc. I have been a member of the Society for 35 years and can be reached at -- show@tgms.org -- And we are trying to STOP the misinformation regarding the fact that people constantly misuse our name, when they don't have the right to use the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show TM, which has been registered to the Society since 1963. The reason that the City of Tucson calls the event "Tucson Gem Mineral and Fossil Showcase" is because even they can't use our name and it refers to all 40/49 shows. We are not happy that the term Tucson Gem and Mineral Show TM is being use as if it refers to all of the shows, when it does not. I would like to open our own page under the correct name and the current page title be changed to Tucson Gem Mineral and Fossil Showcase. But if the title remains "Tucson Gem & Mineral Show" and you would like to work with us, then the information has to be about us first then we can talk about the other 40/49 separate venues. I apologize for not understanding everything that I should about how Wikipedia works, but I have opened an account for TGMS and will learn more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.172.87.13 (talk) 18:25, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Material from Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, Inc.
editAn anonymous editor is posting material said to be "provided directly by the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, Inc."-- see this diff. We need a source -- preferably a link -- for this material, as I strongly suspect it is cut and pasted from a Society document, which would be a WP:COPYVIO. Please post your source here rather than adding the material back, and I'll work with you on getting it into an acceptable format. Thanks, Pete Tillman (talk) 02:00, 27 February 2012 (UTC), longtime Show attendee.
