I had removed most of the facts and tried to condense this entry.

Here are the reasons why: 1) "Triumphs.... most important paintings.." - This is a biased statement and one which nearly all art critics, even those who admire Mantegna, would disagree. I have problems with any determination of which are the most important paintings around. Surely, most would put iconic images such as the Sistine chapel, school of Athens, Botticelli's venus, but I would not include paintings which were once half-forgotten in England, such as these. I can honestly say that I had never even been aware of this series till recently. It is not one of the paintings that makes the usual collections of "art treasures of Italian Art. They may be among the most important Italian Renaissance paintings in England, but when you state importance, you have to determine whether they are important because they were or are influential. I certainly find many Italian paintings in the National gallery, which have been there for over a century, are likely more influential than these. Hence, not only is the statement subjective, it is in error. This is not a fact. It violates the policy of NPOV.

2) As to this being the "largest"- I have no idea how to judge this, and against what? Do Rosso Fiorentino's decorative touches to Fontainebleu constitute a pageant? What about the Italian frescoes by Luca Cambiaso in Spain ? Thus I am not sure that this is true, nor do I care to prove it. I am skeptical that acreage of painterly surface equates with quality. A Guiness book record feat of painting is not something to brag about. When Vasari bragged to Michelangelo about how quickly he could carpet-bomb fresco paintings on Palace walls and ceiling. Michelangelo said: "Wow,and it shows".

3) While Andrea was the son of a carpenter- this entry is about the triumphs. If people want to read about Andrea's father's career, they can go to his biographical entry.

4) There is redundancy in many of these facts that can be integrated into the body of the text.

Ultimately, I prefer my version. If you or someone else has thoughts, please express them. If not, I likely will change it back, and then we can get an outside reviewer. CARAVAGGISTI 22:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Triumphs of Ceasar still redirects
