Talk:Trapped in the Drive-Thru

Latest comment: 16 years ago by Gen. Quon in topic Really a Single

An earlier version of this song was speedy-deleted, as it was basically an advertisement with no mention of notability and no sources. I hope to have corrected these issues and made a good article start. Ryanjunk 18:26, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Led Zeppelin edit

Regarding the anonymous comment about a Led Zep sample; there actually is a bit of that song in this one. I'm not sure it's a particularly notable fact, nor do I think it's a "sample" per se; I believe it's Al's band playing a snippet of the song. But at least to know that the anon isn't just making things up. Ryanjunk 13:55, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The point was that it was unsourced and unexplained original research; its truth isn't really an issue. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 14:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yep, as I say, just wanting to point out it's not vandalism, which to be fair was never alleged. Ryanjunk 14:37, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, yes, we're in agreement. Phew! --Mel Etitis (Talk) 14:48, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:WeirdAlTITDT.jpg edit

Image:WeirdAlTITDT.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I believe I've fixed up the rationale, if anyone is more knowledgeable about WP image stuff, feel free to have a look and check my work. Ryanjunk 18:15, 3 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Really a Single edit

Is this song really a single? I've been working on it for a while, and I've noticed, it never was released as a CD single, it never has charted. I know it was released on a 12", but do you think we should remove this from singles, revert it back to a 'song' and make an article about the "EP" that it was originally released on? Just a thought...--Gen. Quon (talk) 22:07, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • OK, I've done some research and come to the conclusion that "Trapped in the Drive-Thru" was never a single. I'm going to change this back to 'song.'

The Evidence

  1. It's not listed on the official site.
  2. I can't find a cover for it
  3. It never charted
  4. I can't find an official source anywhere that says it was originally going to be released as a single--Gen. Quon (talk) 19:15, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
