Talk:Trace Elliot

Latest comment: 7 years ago by Status4 in topic Time for an update

My citations aren't pretty. The web sources for information on the history of Trace Elliot are fairly thin. There was a seemingly plausible write-up that someone else had placed in Wiki that has been cached by Google, but since I was unable to cross reference a lot of this information, it can't be used. The information presented is as accurate as I could find, but I would appreciate any other sources that could strengthen these citations.

I have to say the article looks accurate to me. I've been using and following Trace Elloit gear for a while now. Unfortunately the internet is not always a good source for references, so it's a shame that Wikipedia replies on them so heavily. DavidRavenMoon (talk) 02:36, 8 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
It's not a shame, because it enforces that articles are based on reliable sources of information, and not just repetitions of opinion or urban legends. Problem I'm seeing here is not unreferenced information, it's that I'm looking at the Trace catalog, and some parts of this article are copied from it word-for-word. That's an NPOV problem at the least, and at worst is a copyright infringement. Dementia13 (talk) 02:16, 7 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Time for an update edit

Given that Peavey has finally shuttered Trace Elliot, this article needs a serious update, however I'm not the person to do it. It's unfortunate that so much of Trace history is blurry because so many people were involved and want to take credit for everything that was ever great about TE. Clive Button seems to be the best resource for accurate TE data these days. Hopefully somebody can do this article justice with a good update/rewrite. Status4 (talk) 19:33, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
