Valve timings
editDoes anyone have valve timing info for the 1NZ-FE? It might be informative to put this side-by-side with that for the 1NZ-FXE, as it would illustrate exactly how the 1NZ-FXE is different, as well as providing a good example of a specific implementation of the Atkinson cycle,.
Here are the figures for the 1NZ-FXE (source: Prius NHW20 New Car Features):
Intake valve opening | 18° – −15° BTDC |
Intake valve closing | 72° – 105° ABDC |
Exhaust valve opening | 34° BBDC |
Exhaust valve closing | 2° ATDC |
Timing diagrams might be nice too.
The following was added:
- Production was stopped in 2009, at arrival of Prius III.
- In 2012, at arrival of Prius C (North-America), Prius Aqua (Japan), Yaris Hybrid (Europa), a new version occurs.
I'm having trouble interpreting what it means. I assume Prius III means the XW30 generation. Does 'new version' just mean the production line was restarted (with a gap from 2009 to 2012) or was it a new generation (with new mechanical features)? Stepho talk 09:34, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
