I am not an expert on George Townshend his life, but as a residential student I have always been told that he was a priest. Could a George-Townshend-scholar clarify? Thanks Maarten,dutch (talk) 07:12, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Townshend was a priest in the Church of Ireland which is a branch of the Anglican Church. He converted to the Baha'i Faith and was later appointed a Hand of the Cause of God by Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Baha'i Faith.
