Needs a complete re-write
editI just did some lay out changes, and notice that this appears to be an obituary written about 50 years ago, and lifted word for word.
Poor Townsend, he deserves better than this. Perhaps there is some enthusiastic historian of oceanography that can do him justice. 122.107.36.163 (talk) 06:30, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
