Requested move edit

Touch is only a redirect to it's own disambiguation page. But since it has an edit history an admin has to move it. Hoof Hearted 20:15, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think it would make more sense for there to be an article about the sense of touch at that location. There was, until last month, but it was merged to Haptic and Haptics. If Touch has to be a redirect, I think touch would be best off aimed at Somatosensory system with an otheruses tag at the top of that page. Dekimasuよ! 02:10, 21 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I agree with your opinion, but was trying to make the best situation without undoing Matt's changes - which I assumed he had a good reason for doing. But yes, sense of touch should be located here, perhaps renamed Touch (sense) but I don't think renaming is really necessary. Other good targets for a redirect:

The beginning of Somatosensory system has a good explanation of why the topics it includes are together roughly equivalent to the common usage of the word "touch", and it also has a dablink for Haptics. Since Somatic sensation is a redirect, aiming this there would be a double redirect. So I suppose I still hope that this will be closed by altering the Touch redirect to point to Somatosensory system. Dekimasuよ! 04:14, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
