Evolution of the Toronto Maple Leafs...???

I find irrelevant that the Toronto Pro HC is in the "Evolution of the Toronto Maple Leafs" box. There was no real connection between the OPHL Team who stopped playing in 1909 and the NHA Team who started in 1912, except for their owner (and maybe a similar logo). None of the players of the Pro HC from 1908-09 played for the Blueshirts in 1912-13. There is also no connection between the OPHL and the NHA, which is very different for the Blueshirts and the NHL. Even if the NHL Maple Leafs don't recognize them in their history, the NHA Blueshirts are their real ancestors. The Leafs' franchise was built from the stolen team and players of Livingstone's team. The team was also named officially the Toronto HC (and nicknamed the Torontos and the Blueshirts) in his first NHL season (1917-18), just like the NHA team and they wore the same uniform and used the same players. They only took the Arenas name in 1918-19. The Toronto Tecumsehs/Ontarios/Shamrocks are more related to the Maple Leafs than the Pro HC, since the Shamrocks merged with the Blueshirts after the 1914-15 season. After the PCHA raid for signing players that summer, there was only enough players left to fill one Toronto team. The remaining Blueshirts players and the Shamrocks players all suit up for the Blueshirts the next season leaving the Shamrocks franchise empty and dormant for the 1915-16 season. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dannyduke (talk • contribs) 19:11, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
