Strangely enough?

Strangely enough, Petersen went on to star as the lead in Mann's next film, Manhunter (1986).

This sentence really rubs me the wrong way. I don't see what's strange about using an actor from this movie after suing the director. It's an interesting fact though, perhaps it should be moved to Trivia? --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 20:29, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Copy edits today

I did some copy edits which fit within Wiki policy: limited quotes, moved trivia section, started references section, cast listed "as", etc. Still, the article needs some serious references. Luigibob 01:45, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Deleted POV material, added sources, and expanded article" DVD sub-section, ratings, wiki links, etc. We now have an article that does not have to be tagged "no sources" IMHO. Luigi.

Relevance?

"Parts of the film were shot in known gang Los Angeles territory..." How is this relevant? Wilmington and San Pedro are also "known" gang territory; you could include almost every location in L.A. for that matter. Other than a couple of scenes filmed in those areas, the movie has nothing to do with L.A. street gangs. Suggest merging under a single "filming locations" heading. 310.21834.020

Separating the links between the film and soundtrack

Can we change the current "To Live and Die in L.A." film link by adding (film) right next to it? That way, a disambiguation page can be created for both the film and the soundtrack, so in case people want to see the soundtrack but wind up with the movie, they have a choice. Cleanup/Deletion

I took out what seemed to be some exceptionally non-objective verbage. Additionally, I deleted the claim that the film had a 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, as there was no link to said rating, and the movie does not have an aggregate score on the site. Plot incoherency

There are fundamental flaws in the plot line which have been completely overlooked by the standard media. To wit: Why does the partner Vukovich choose to go to Masters' own lawyer (out of a possible twenty thousand lawyers in L.A.) knowing that Grimes will likely blab it all to Masters? (The scene in the burning warehouse proves he did just that.) And then since Masters knows that Chance is a federal agent, why does he still deal with him and why is he surprised when Chance pulls out a gun and tries to arrest him? Answer: Because Friedkin wants to have it both ways: he wants Masters to be so cooly smart as to realize the buyers aren’t who they claim to be but he’s still so dumb that he’ll deal with known Secret Service agents who are hellbent on stinging him. As said, there are no discussions of this lapse of motivational logic in the media, although it is seen on certain YouTube forums, so how to record it in Wikipedia without a source?
