Talk:Title IV

Latest comment: 15 years ago by Rdnewman

the 9 I added this page because I was unable to find what the definition of a "Title IV degree-granting institution" was in reviewing Dept. of Education statistics. Title IV seems to be referred to without context within education administration circles, assuming that the reader is familiar with the HSA. Further, Title IV is very difficult to find directly in the US code since it shows up under Title 20, Chapter 28 which is even more obscure to the uninitiated reader.

Given that Title IV is such a key part of the HSA and my anticipation that readers would not necessarily know of its context under the HSA, I gave it its own article, similar to how Title IX is listed.

I do not know the wikipedia mechanism for properly capitalizing the title: it's under "Title iv" instead of the more proper "Title IV", perhaps someone can help with that? RDNewman (talk) 14:51, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

You can rename articles by using the "move" tab at the top of the article; I've already taken care of it, though! Thanks for your contributions- I agree that this appears definitely to warrant its own article. --Alinnisawest, Dalek Empress (extermination requests here) 15:03, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dead link to US Code was repaired (July 2009) by going to http://www.gpoaccess.gov/help/linking.html, choosing the United States Code database, selecting "2006 US Code", and entering the CITE number "20USC1070". The resulting link given was used to repair the deadlink. RDNewman (talk) 16:42, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
