Thetan - etymology edit

theta eighth letter of the Greek alphabet; in ancient Greece, written on ballots to indicate a vote for a sentence of "death" (thanatos), hence occasional allusive use for "death." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.2.119.211 (talk) 22:45, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Utter bias edit

The article is so pro-Scientology as to offend credibility — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.101.105.31 (talk) 12:37, 25 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing pro-scientology about it. It simply describes a belief held by scientologists. That would be like saying an article about the belief that Jesus is the messiah is pro-Christian. Kdb1965 (talk) 11:18, 28 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Why is there no mention of Xenu in this article? Scientologists actually believe that Thetans are the spirits of the aliens that an evil space lord threw into volcanoes and that they harm people. This article is deliberately avoiding the elements of Hubbards later work that sounds a lot like his earlier work as a science fiction author.
