Notability

edit

@BoyTheKingCanDance: this person meets criterion 1 of WP:NPROF "the academic has been an author of highly cited academic work – either several extremely highly cited scholarly publications or a substantial number of scholarly publications with significant citation rates". Their work has been cited 27,000 times. As regards self-published sources, WP:BLPSELFPUB says that is ok if they are not self-serving or contraversial, and WP:NPROF explicitly says once the passage of one or more notability criteria has been verified through independent sources, or through the reliable sources listed explicitly for this purpose in the specific criteria notes, non-independent sources, such as official institutional and professional sources, are widely accepted as reliable sourcing for routine, uncontroversial details. Dear Curb Safe Charmer, okay. I do think the ise of self-published material here is self-serving. But I won't get into a disagreement over it. I'll step back from the page. Very best wishes, BoyTheKingCanDance (talk) 10:55, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
