Misc Questions edit

Perhaps some info about the tradition of the Wedding Singer - host, emcee, entertainer, glorified dj?--Trevor Giles 16:36, 11 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Adam Sandler sung all the songs, right? I mean, it sounds right, but just to be sure, he did, right?

Who yells "You suck!!!" when the Boy George character is singing at the wedding? It always sounded like Chris Farley to me but he isn't credited. --Andland 21:01, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

How is it that we know it takes place in Ridgefield, New Jersey? What evidence exists for this? How do we know it isn't Ridgefield, Connecticut or perhaps some other Ridgefield? 206.195.19.58 (talk) 19:23, 8 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Glenn Works on Wall Street. That would be a significantly long drive from Ridgefield, CT, but quite manageable from NJ. Sorenlarrington (talk) 17:22, 28 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Films Satirising the 80's edit

The Wedding Singer along with others like American Psycho use the arena of the 80s to good comic effect, reflecting and referencing. Is there a list of films set in the 80s, perhaps in particular comedy, which should be put on the end of the article.Bobbyfletch85 20:16, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Wedding singer.jpg edit

Image:Wedding singer.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Reception edit

How was it received - critically and at the box office ? -- Beardo (talk) 03:40, 31 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

All we know from the article is its box office performance, which is hardly the same as its "reception". My guess is that the film received poor reviews due to its unlikeable cast and boring, formulaic plot and script, but I suppose I could be wrong. Guv2006 (talk) 21:33, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Interesting opinion but the fact is the reviews were not negative, not even mixed. The overview provided by Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic indicate that the reviews were generally positive. -- 109.76.192.5 (talk) 00:11, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Home Video Releases edit

What kind of home releases for the movie have there been? I'd assume there was a VHS and standard DVD, but I'm only aware of the Totally Awesome edition DVD and Blu-ray. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.3.113.143 (talk) 00:26, 30 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Both VHS and DVD at the time, Bluray came later (~2009). -- 109.76.192.5 (talk) 00:11, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Production edit

I was hoping to add to the production section, but it seems as if no one has even started a production section yet.

Maybe if someone does start a production section they might include the fact that Carrie Fisher, Judd Apatow, and Adam Sandler did uncredited rewrites of the script.[1][2] -- 109.78.220.223 (talk) 02:22, 18 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Added Production section.[3] -- 109.79.173.253 (talk) 04:22, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
