It would have been Londonderry back then. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.196.180.2 (talk) 08:22, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unless you have a citation with Coulter saying he wrote it about Londonderry then WP:IMOS will apply. --Blowdart | talk 08:28, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
And "There was music there in the Derry air" would suggest one will be difficult to find. O Fenian (talk) 20:51, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Date? edit

This page would benefit from telling readers when the song was released and how it did in the music charts ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 14:32, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Also, Londonderry was commonly referred to as Derry by Republicans. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.40.152.147 (talk) 02:47, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Dark Island edit

What about the striking similarity? 95.49.206.38 (talk) 15:55, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Someone playing the song to his own death edit

A norwegian author once told a story about a queen of Madagascar who threathened to behead any man who had the courage to appear in her dreams.

Why am i mentioning this? Because once released, every song has a life of it's own - these stories not being a part of the history of the song per se. Telling all these stories, about who sang it in their weddings, funerals and breakups, hardly brings any new light to the understanding of the song itself. IMHO the section about the suicide should be deleted. Bw --Orland (talk) 07:42, 9 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
