Talk:The Scarlet Tulip EP

Album Title edit

The name of the EP is The Scarlet Tulip EP. The article was initially titled to match. Around June, someone renamed it helpfully as The Scarlet Tulip (EP), which was not it's name. Now, it has been renamed as The Scarlet Tulip, which again is not it's proper name. The thing I find most interesting is that doing a job like renaming a wikipedia article, which a simple undo cannot return to it's original name, is done without opening a discussion. I understand that wikipedia encourages people to be bold, but some changes are more permanent and deserve a discussion. Therefore, I am opening a discussion, and declaring that on February 1st, 2015, I will attempt to return the wikipedia article name to The Scarlet Tulip EP. If anyone knows why it should not be returned to it's proper title, I hope they will join in on the discussion. Mburrell (talk) 06:54, 2 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

The Scarlet TulipThe Scarlet Tulip EP – The article was changed without discussion from The Scarlet Tulip EP to The Scarlet Tulip. Reverting the album title was then placed in the talk page, and no challenge was raised to calling it The Scarlet Tulip EP, but for technical reasons I cannot move it because a redirect page occupies it's former location. The existing (trimmed) title needs to become the redirect page. Two citation for proof; one is the artist's store page, which shows the album cover and lists the album by its full title (http://kttunstall.sandbag.uk.com/Store/DII-874-5-the+scarlet+tulip+ep.html). The second was located using Google News Archive, and the article on her latest album references the EP, (http://www.americansongwriter.com/2013/07/kt-tunstall-invisible-empirecrescent-moon-2/). The only reason this might be controversial was somebody thought enough about this to change it the first time, without asking anyone else. Mburrell (talk) 21:48, 24 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
