What to cite when there's nothing TO cite? edit

The issues with this story are considerable:

  • This article consists almost entirely of a plot summary. It should be expanded to provide more balanced coverage that includes real-world context. (March 2013)
  • This article's plot summary may be too long or excessively detailed. (March 2013)
  • This article includes a list of references, but its sources remain unclear because it has insufficient inline citations. (March 2014)
  • This article needs additional citations for verification.

Yet, for the life of me, I cannot find anything about the story in the context of nineteenth-century recordings of Danish folktales (or twentieth to twenty-first century scholarship regarding the story or Kristensen's works), or, really, anything to cite. Even Google Scholar seems to have nothing on the subject, save Kristensen's own books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gehayi (talkcontribs) 07:30, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
