Please review recent changes

Hello, I've been substantially improving the article over the past few days, but since this is paid editing I do not want to remove the {{COI}} flag on top of the article myself. Hence this call for review (and, if needed, input on what to change/improve).

In a nutshell:

• Added references to all statements;
• Added a picture from the original memorandum of association of 1805 (the full thing is on Commons), courtesy of the family archives;
• Updated the logo (it's not obvious but it is different);
• Created a new template:infobox bank that now automatically incorporates wikidata elements and bank-specific ones (such as credit rating and Basel III asset ratio). The box is largely based on infobox company (which is protected): I will finish updating its documentation in the next few days;
• Also created the Henokiens article, which has apparently now become a category.

Well, I'm not so sure that the template needs to ever be removed unless multiple edits that are not COI are made? TY for referring me to the other user, but so far I do not see where this exact issue has been discussed. Again- I am just a little confused about your use of "review", and what that all means with the banner being there or not. Lets let this stay open a bit on the talk page please, or if there is something that clearly explains why the banner should be removed?TeeVeeed (talk) 15:58, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

OK-so I changed the banner to connected contributor paid. What I need is something that says that banners must be removed after review if there is anything that says that please. Otherwise, why should it not stay forever?TeeVeeed (talk) 16:05, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi there, user:TeeVeeed recently added the {{COI}} tag to the top of the article. The article had already been reviewed and I had made the CoI declaration back when I improved it (see above), but we've discussed the matter and agreed that it would be best to ask a third party for removal. Well, it's a good thing you asked, because I don't agree that the COI tag should be removed. The tag warns that the article may need cleanup to comply with WP:NPOV. This is definitely still applicable. From reading the article, I see phrases that are frequently used in press releases, but are not appropriate for an encyclopedia. These promotional terms include phrases such as "leading" and "premier". The article also seems slanted in favor of the bank. It reports many positive facts: the philanthropic work, the credit ratings, the environmental efforts. However, I see very little negative coverage. There is a brief mention of the DOJ investigation, but no explanation of what happened. According to the New York Times, Pictet released its financial results for the first time in 209 years due to restructuring. It not necessary (nor encouraged) to post every last negative experience a company has gone through: WP:UNDUE WEIGHT would bar such edits. However, the NYTimes article was on the first page of my Google search results, so I am surprised that it was not mentioned in the article. Ok, I see your point, thank you very much. I'll bring in a few more references and updates (it's been nearly a year after all) which I'll post here for review. As for the NYT article, the restructuring they mentioned is the change in corporate structure (see 4th paragraph of the "history" section; I am not sure that the fact they posted their results is super relevant though, but I'll mention it). Wealth management

Add some more info (+ref) for the very last sentence:

On November 26, 2012, it was reported that Pictet's wealth management unit was the target of a United States Department of Justice probe along with 11 other Swiss financial firms. Contrary to others, the Group indicated that it would not book any provisions in its 2015 accounts and that its current capital reserves were large enough to cover any potential fine.

Updated figures

The article gives Pictet's assets and staff in 2017 but according to Pictet's website (www.group.pictet/about) their assets have nearly doubled. Not sure how it works as a source and it doesn't have an immediate figure for asset managers so I'm going to leave it for someone else to implement. --148.64.27.12 (talk) 10:52, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
